The Clermont County Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment for stray, lost, and neglected dogs while working to reunite pets with their owners. Located in Batavia, Ohio, our shelter operates as a public, no-kill facility municipally owned and operated by Clermont County. We serve as a vital community resource, housing an average of 800 dogs each year and providing a dedicated space for those in need of recovery and care.
How We Care
Our facility includes over 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, featuring specialized rooms for medical recovery, puppy care, and behavioral support. Beyond our dedicated staff, we benefit from the generous support of local volunteers who walk, bathe, and foster our dogs, alongside partnerships with behavior specialists and veterinarians to ensure each animal receives the attention they deserve.
