Animal Friends Alliance is dedicated to providing comprehensive companion animal resources, services, and education to our community to prevent homelessness and promote the lasting human-animal bond. We envision a future where every companion animal lives in a healthy, loving, and desired home.
Founded in January 2020, our organization emerged from the meaningful union of the Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue & Grooming. By combining our strengths, we have created a unified approach to serving Northern Colorado and beyond through both life-saving shelter services and proactive community support.
We operate as a limited-admission, adoption-guarantee facility, providing a safe, temporary home for thousands of cats and dogs each year. Our care model goes beyond the shelter, as we believe the best home for an animal is the one they are already in; we offer essential community resources like our public veterinary clinic, a pet food pantry, and behavior support services to help families stay together.
When you choose to adopt from us, you aren't just getting a pet; you are gaining a lifelong partner supported by our team. We perform comprehensive veterinary care for every animal in our care, including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring they are healthy and ready to join your family. We are committed to thoughtful matching, ensuring that each animal finds the environment where they will thrive for years to come.
We invite you to experience the joy of finding your new best friend by browsing our available cats and dogs online or visiting us at one of our adoption centers. Whether you are ready to adopt, looking for resources to support your current pet, or interested in volunteering, we are here to welcome you. Explore our adoptable pets today and discover how you can make a difference in the life of a deserving animal.
