Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County is dedicated to spaying and neutering every unowned cat in our community to ensure every feline has the best chance at a contented life. We believe that when you believe, anything is possible.
Since 1990, we have served as the nation's longest-running Trap-Neuter-Return organization. We have dedicated over three decades to being guardians and advocates for the most vulnerable cats in Sonoma County—those who would otherwise be forgotten, neglected, or left to fend for themselves.
We are not a traditional shelter; instead, we operate a specialized, foster-based adoption program. By placing cats directly into loving foster homes, our animals spend their time socializing with people in a domestic setting rather than in a stressful shelter environment. This hands-on approach allows us to provide the vital care, medical attention, and affection each cat needs before they find their forever home.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your family. Because our cats live in foster care, we focus on thoughtful, personalized adoptions that ensure each feline transitions smoothly into their new life. Whether you are looking for a house companion or a working cat for your barn or garden, we take the time to facilitate a placement where every cat can truly thrive.
We invite you to be part of our success story by opening your heart to a cat in need. You can view our currently available companions on our website or contact us to learn more about how you can volunteer, foster, or donate to support our lifesaving work.
