Summit's Sanctuary strives to provide comfort, compassion, and care to animals in need while engaging the hearts and minds of our community to ensure that no animal is ever endangered or abandoned.
A Legacy of Love
Our sanctuary was born from a desire to honor the memory of Summit, a beloved white Labrador and certified therapy dog who spent years helping students overcome emotional challenges. Inspired by his purpose-driven life, our director Lisa Chandler founded this organization to provide the same level of care and support to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in North East Alabama and North West Georgia.
