Caring for Cats is a volunteer-driven, no-kill cat shelter dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens through well-being, compassion, and hope. Our mission is to ensure every cat finds a loving forever home where they can enjoy a long and happy life.
Since 1999, our organization has served our community by providing a bridge for cats in transition. We operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, committed to being financially responsible and transparent in all our efforts to support feline health and happiness.
We provide a unique, home-like environment for our residents while utilizing a robust network of supported foster families to ensure each cat receives individual attention. Our facility is designed to be a clean, safe, and bright space that facilitates play, stimulation, and socialization for our kitties. This blend of shelter care and foster support allows us to maintain a high adoption rate while managing the physical, emotional, and social well-being of every cat in our care.
We believe in the power of connection and prioritize thoughtful, personalized matchmaking to ensure every adopter finds a feline friend that truly fits their lifestyle and expectations. Whether you are looking for an affectionate lap cat, a playful kitten, or a wise senior, we are here to support you through every step of your adoption journey. By centering our process on the unique personality of each cat, we help create lasting, happy partnerships between people and their new family members.
Ready to meet your new best friend or get involved with our community? We invite you to view our available kitties, book an appointment to visit us in North St. Paul, or explore our volunteer and sponsorship opportunities to help us continue our life-affirming work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of cats who are waiting for their second chance.
