Branford Compassion Club is a dedicated non-profit feline rescue organization committed to providing food, shelter, and compassionate care for homeless, abandoned, and feral cats. We strive to create a lasting community network that promotes responsible pet ownership, kindness to animals, and effective population control through spay and neuter advocacy.
Founded in November 1997 by a small group of concerned Branford residents, our organization began with a simple goal: to alleviate the hunger and suffering of cats in our local community. Over the decades, we have grown significantly, helping countless felines while maintaining our deep roots in the Branford area and surrounding shoreline communities.
We operate as a volunteer-based organization, supported by over 100 dedicated individuals who provide daily care, shelter, and medical attention to our residents. While we manage a dedicated Feline Rescue and Adoption Center in North Branford, many of our kittens are raised in nurturing foster homes, where they receive the social interaction and love needed to prepare them for their future families.
We believe that adoption is a lifelong commitment and a joyful partnership between you and your new companion. Because we want to ensure every match is a perfect fit, our process is personalized to meet the specific needs of both the cat and your family. Our team is here to guide you through every step, from our initial application review to providing resources for a smooth transition into your home.
We invite you to discover your new best friend by viewing our current residents on our website or Facebook page. If you are ready to open your heart and home, please visit our adoption page to learn more about our process, or join us at our monthly Open House on the second Saturday of each month to meet our wonderful cats in person.
