At the Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton (HSOMH), our mission is to connect pets and people with the resources, care, and confidence they need to move forward together. We strive to improve the lives of animals by supporting our community in discovering, strengthening, and preserving the human-animal bond.
Since 1936, we have served as a safe haven for animals in need and a trusted resource for the people who care about them. From our early days on Morrison Road to our current home on Cornwall Road in Oakville, we have evolved into a community hub where compassion, education, and action come together.
We provide a safe haven for approximately 300 animals at any given time, ensuring every pet receives medical care, shelter, and the compassion they deserve. As a low-euthanasia facility, we are dedicated to providing second chances, with every adoptable dog, cat, and rabbit spayed or neutered before heading to their new home. Our work is powered by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and community partners who believe in making a measurable impact.
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we are here to guide you through every step of the process. We prioritize thoughtful, supportive matching to ensure that both you and your new companion feel confident and prepared for a life together. Whether you are looking for a playful puppy or a gentle senior cat, our team is committed to supporting you before, during, and after your new friend arrives home.
Your journey to finding a new best friend starts here. We invite you to explore our website to view currently adoptable animals or visit us at our facility to meet your next family member. Together, we can create lasting connections and give deserving animals the bright future they await.
