At the Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton (HSOMH), our mission is to connect pets and people with the resources, care, and confidence they need to move forward together. We strive to improve the lives of animals by supporting our community in discovering, strengthening, and preserving the human-animal bond.
Our History
Since 1936, we have served as a safe haven for animals in need and a trusted resource for the people who care about them. From our early days on Morrison Road to our current home on Cornwall Road in Oakville, we have evolved into a community hub where compassion, education, and action come together.
Our Care Model
We provide a safe haven for approximately 300 animals at any given time, ensuring every pet receives medical care, shelter, and the compassion they deserve. As a low-euthanasia facility, we are dedicated to providing second chances, with every adoptable dog, cat, and rabbit spayed or neutered before heading to their new home. Our work is powered by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and community partners who believe in making a measurable impact.
