City of Norman Animal Welfare is dedicated to encouraging responsible pet ownership by promoting and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and pets of our community through education, enforcement, and partnership.
Since the completion of our 13,246 square foot facility in 2016, we have focused on providing a high level of care for the thousands of animals that pass through our doors annually. Our commitment to community engagement and strong partnerships allows us to maintain a 90+% live release rate for the animals in our care.
Our state-of-the-art veterinary clinic supports our mission by providing necessary treatments, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries for every animal before they are adopted. We operate both a secure, modern center for lost and adoptable pets and a robust foster program that gives dogs and cats a relaxing, home-like environment while they await their forever families. This combination of dedicated staff and volunteer support ensures that each animal receives the attention they need.
We believe that bringing a new pet into your home should be a joyful, well-supported experience. Our team works hard to help you find the right fit for your unique lifestyle by sharing insights on personality traits and behaviors. Whether you are browsing online or visiting us in person, we are here to support you at every step of the process.
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable animals online or visit our Adoption Center at 3428 Jenkins Avenue to connect with a member of our team.
