Our vision is to build a community where pets and people save each other. We are committed to saving, sheltering, protecting, and advocating for every animal in need throughout North Texas.
Founded in 1905, the Humane Society of North Texas is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. For over a century, we have evolved to meet the needs of our community, focusing always on the well-being of the animals we serve.
We are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, operating without government funding or national affiliation. Our life-saving efforts rely on a robust combination of adoption centers, foster networks, and specialized facilities like our equine ranch. We are proud to maintain a 96% live-release rate, ensuring that every pet receives the support they need to thrive.
Adopting a pet is a life-saving decision that brings a new family member into your home. We strive to make the process effortless, providing medical care, vaccinations, and microchipping for every animal in our program. When you choose to adopt, you are embarking on a joyful partnership built on trust and a second chance at happiness.
Are you ready to find your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable pets online or visit us at our Keller Regional Adoption Center to experience the difference firsthand. Your support makes it possible for us to continue our work, so please consider visiting our website to learn more about how you can give back today.
