Our Mission

At The Cat Shelter, our mission is to ensure that every cat who has ended up alone gets a safe place, a fresh start, and a home to call their own. We believe that while cats may have nine lives, they should never have to spend any of them homeless.

Our Story

Formerly known as Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center, we are the same dedicated team with the same commitment to life-changing work. We chose this new name to be more accessible, helping us reach more cats in need throughout the St. Louis community.

Our Care Philosophy

Cats are at the heart of everything we do. Our shelter is designed with their well-being in mind, providing cozy beds, soft blankets, nutritious food, and the dedicated affection of a team that truly adores them. We are committed to meeting their unique needs, whether that means routine checkups or complex medical care.
