Our Mission

Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation is dedicated to finding and keeping loving, forever homes for dogs and cats. We strive to increase the save rate of homeless pets across Western North Carolina and beyond.

Our History

Founded in 2005, our organization was inspired by a German Shepherd named Sarge who reminded us that every animal deserves a chance at a happy life. Since our inception, we have helped find homes for over 12,000 animals and played a key role in helping our county shelter achieve a successful no-kill status.

How We Care

We believe in providing a safe haven for every animal in our care, whether they are waiting in our dedicated Adoption Center or enjoying the comfort of a loving foster home. Every rescue is spayed or neutered, brought up to date on medical treatments, and receives the behavior training or socialization needed to flourish. We are a non-profit organization that relies entirely on the generosity of our community to provide this vital care.
