Welcome to Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic (OAR), a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to creating a progressive, compassionate community where cats can thrive. For over 25 years, OAR has enriched the bond between cats and their caregivers by offering superior, affordable services in a welcoming environment. Originally founded as O'Bryonville Animal Rescue, our mission focuses on addressing the needs of feral and community cats while serving as a vital resource for the Greater Cincinnati area. At OAR, we believe that every cat deserves safety, health, and happiness. Our core values are rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and community support. We strive to empower cat caregivers through various services, including: Located at The Joanie Bernard Home for Cats, our adoption center is staffed with dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about finding homes for cats in need. In 2024 alone, OAR successfully placed 1,361 cats into loving families. Since 2020, we have seen over 8,500 cats adopted thanks to our commitment to collaboration with other shelters, focusing on bringing in cats who require assistance. One of our guiding philosophies is that “Once an OAR cat, always an OAR cat.” This means that if circumstances prevent our adopters from keeping their cats, those cats will always be welcomed back into our community.
