For over 30 years, St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice has been dedicated to a singular, heartfelt mission: to rescue and provide compassionate care for homeless cats and kittens until we find them the loving, forever homes they deserve.
Our Story
Since our founding three decades ago, our organization has served as a beacon of hope for cats in Southwest Florida. We are proud to be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on reducing cat overpopulation and improving the lives of felines in our community, supported by generous partners like Bailey and Friends.
How We Operate
We believe every animal deserves a safe environment where their physical and social needs are met while they wait for their perfect match. Our operations are centered at our facility located on S. Tamiami Trail, where our team and volunteers work diligently to ensure every cat receives the attention and care required to thrive. We also maintain a thrift store adjacent to our adoption site, which serves as a vital resource for supporting our ongoing mission.
