Our History and Community

Since our founding in 1972, we have been committed to protecting the pets of Polk County. Operating out of our facility on Dundee Road since 2015, we work tirelessly to address the needs of our community, helping thousands of animals find safe and happy homes each year.

Our Approach to Care

As a no-kill shelter since 2004, we treat every animal’s life as precious, providing comprehensive medical care including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and wellness exams. Our dedicated staff and volunteers ensure that every resident receives comfortable shelter, nutritious food, and the attention they deserve while waiting for their perfect match.
