Big Sky CARES is dedicated to changing the way we think and feel about living with and caring for animals. We believe that through compassion and education, we can create a brighter future for every pet in our community.
Our Story
Formerly known as Big Sky Ranch/CATNIP Foundation, our organization has evolved into Big Sky CARES—Community Animal Resources and Education Services. We were founded on the belief that by providing accessible resources, we can keep more animals in loving homes and out of shelters.
How We Help
We operate two facilities and manage over a dozen specialized programs to support animal welfare. Beyond our rescue efforts, we provide vital low-cost animal care services, including spay/neuter, dental care, and critical medical support through our community clinic, serving families and fellow rescue organizations across Louisiana.
