Friends of Felines is a dedicated non-profit organization serving New Hanover County, North Carolina, committed to improving the lives of cats through compassionate care and community-focused solutions. Since our founding in 1996, we have worked tirelessly to address cat overpopulation and provide second chances for cats in need.
We believe that every cat deserves a safe and loving environment. Our work focuses on Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) to humanely stabilize feral colonies, while simultaneously identifying and rescuing friendly strays and kittens that can thrive as beloved pets.
We are a 100% foster-based organization, meaning every cat in our care lives in a safe, nurturing home environment while awaiting their forever family. This approach allows our dedicated foster parents to provide personalized attention, socialization, and medical care, ensuring that each cat is prepared to transition smoothly into their new life with you.
We strive to create meaningful, lasting partnerships by carefully matching each cat’s unique personality with the right home. Because our cats are integrated into family settings, we have a clear understanding of their temperaments, whether they are confident explorers or shy companions. Adopting from us is a mutual decision, and we are here to support you in finding the perfect addition to your family.
Ready to welcome a cat into your home? We invite you to view our available kittens, young adults, adults, and seniors on our website. Please reach out to us to begin your journey, or consider becoming a foster parent to experience the rewarding process of helping a cat find their way home.
