Our Mission
CARE Southcoast is a volunteer-run, no-kill rescue organization dedicated to providing a voice and a lifeline for homeless, abused, and forgotten animals across the Southcoast region of Massachusetts.
A Legacy of Compassion
Founded on a lifelong commitment to the underdog, our organization focuses on helping those that others might overlook. We step in for animals that struggle in traditional settings, including seniors, those with behavioral challenges, and pets needing specialized medical support, ensuring they find the safety and care they deserve.
Our Care Model
We operate through a unique blend of a dedicated shelter facility in Acushnet and a compassionate network of foster homes. While our cats enjoy the comforts of our shelter, all of our rescued dogs are placed in foster care, where they receive socialization and stability in a home environment while awaiting their forever families.
