Needy Paws Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing sanctuary and hope to homeless pets while serving the Arkansas River Valley as the region's only brick-and-mortar, no-kill animal shelter.
Our History and Community
Since 1997, we have served as an extension of the River Valley Humane Society, working tirelessly to support sick, injured, and homeless animals. We operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit, proud to be a consistent resource for Johnson and Pope Counties and the surrounding Arkansas River Valley.
How We Provide Care
We are deeply committed to maintaining a high standard of welfare for our animals, providing all necessary vaccinations, medical treatments, and spay/neuter procedures. To uphold our no-kill promise, we utilize a managed intake process by appointment, which allows us to provide focused medical and behavioral care to every animal in our shelter. Our dedicated team and foster caregivers work together to ensure every pet receives love and support while waiting for their permanent home.
