Pet Network Humane Society enables pets and people to connect and thrive through compassionate care. We are dedicated to building a society where all companion animals are respected as valued members of our families and communities.
Founded in 1991 by a group of committed volunteers, we have grown from a grassroots foster network into a vital resource for the northern Nevada region. Over the past three decades, we have successfully rescued and rehomed more than 11,000 animals, serving as a beacon of hope for pets in need of a second chance.
Our work is anchored by three pillars: our shelter, our Community Hospital, and our thrift store. We operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit that relies on donations to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Our AAHA-accredited shelter medicine program ensures that every animal in our care receives professional medical attention while awaiting their forever home.
We embrace and uplift the Adopters Welcome philosophy, believing that finding your new best friend should be a joyful, conversation-based experience. By removing outdated barriers to adoption, we celebrate your commitment to a life-long partnership with a rescued pet. Every animal leaves our care fully prepared for their new life, including being microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our Community Hospital, there are many ways to get involved.
