The Doberman Rescue League, Inc. is a volunteer-only organization dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and educating the community about Doberman Pinschers in need. We are a passionate team of individuals committed to providing loving care and a second chance for every Doberman that comes through our doors.
Founded in 1977 as a non-profit corporation, we have spent decades addressing the needs of Dobermans across South Florida. Recognizing that our area has often been a dumping ground for unwanted animals, we stepped up to provide a lifeline for Dobermans facing hardship, neglect, or injury, averaging nearly 90 rescues per year.
We are a dedicated, volunteer-only rescue that takes full financial responsibility for our dogs until they find their permanent families. By utilizing a network of foster homes, we ensure that each Doberman receives the medical attention, rehabilitation, and socialization they deserve in a safe, home-like environment. This allows us to assess each dog's unique personality and needs, setting them up for a successful transition into their forever homes.
We believe that successful adoption is about thoughtful, sincere matching, and we work closely with potential adopters to find the perfect companion for their specific lifestyle. Our goal is to create lifelong, loving partnerships where our rescued Dobermans—known for their loyal Velcro nature—can thrive as cherished indoor family members. We prioritize consistency and long-term support to ensure both the dog and the family are well-prepared for a happy future together.
