Our Mission
Doberman Rescue League, Inc. is a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization committed to rescuing, protecting, and educating the public about Dobermans in need. We are a passionate team of volunteers working together to provide loving care and second chances to dogs looking for their forever homes.
A History of Compassion
Since our inception in 1977, we have been a volunteer-only organization serving the South Florida community. We recognize that many Dobermans face unexpected hardships through no fault of their own, and our mission has always been to provide a safe haven and a bridge to a brighter future.
Our Care Model
Our rescue thrives on the dedication of our volunteer network, including the vital foster homes that allow our dogs to experience love and rehabilitation in a domestic environment. Every dog in our care receives comprehensive veterinary treatment, including vaccinations, heartworm testing, and spay/neuter services, ensuring they are healthy and ready to join your family.

NOW ALL HE NEEDS IS YOU! ❤️ Our handsome BARON has graduated with flying colors from his training at Magic City K9, and this amazing boy is ready to show off his new skills to a family of his very own! 🐾 At 5 years old, this sweet Dobie mix has been patiently waiting for someone to see just how special he is. He loves splashing around in the pool, relaxing with his favorite humans, and showing off his smarts. 10/1 - ❤️ UPDATE ON DOLLY ❤️ Dolly is still fighting, and we’re doing everything we can to help this sweet girl get better. 🐾💔 The good news is that her fever has subsided with IV antibiotics! 🙏 However, Dolly still has a long road ahead of her. Her medical evaluation revealed several serious issues: 🔴 Heartworm positive 🔴 Mastitis and metritis (infections involving the mammary glands and uterus) 🔴 Urinary tract infection (UTI) 🔴 Hookworms 🔴 Whipworms Dolly will remain hospitalized at Margate Animal Hospital through Monday so she can continue receiving the medical care she desperately needs. Once she is stable, we will reassess her condition and determine whether she is ready to move into a loving foster home to continue her recovery. This girl deserves a chance to heal, feel safe, and finally know what it means to be loved. ❤️ Every step forward matters, and we will be right here fighting for her. 9/25 - ❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU FROM BELLA! ❤️ We want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our Five Dollar Friday last week to help Bella get the surgery she desperately needed to remove the very large mass from her eyelid area. We are happy to report that Bella is recovering nicely! 🐾❤️ And in true Doberman fashion, Bella is already helping another dog. Our newest boy was rescued as a stray from Northern Florida. He is extremely shut down and scared, but the moment we brought Bella out to meet him, something amazing happened — he started acting like a puppy! 🥹🐾 Sometimes another dog can reach them in ways we simply can’t. This is why rescue takes a village. ❤️ We appreciate every single person who shares our posts, supports our dogs, volunteers their time, opens their home, donates, or simply cheers our Dobermans on. You are all part of their journey to a better life.
