A History of Compassion
What started in 1973 as a group of animal-loving volunteers has blossomed into a vital community staple. For over 50 years, we have served as a best-practice model for animal welfare, providing a bridge to a brighter future for the thousands of homeless animals we care for each year.
Our Commitment to Care
As the largest animal welfare provider in Placer County, we operate through several specialized facilities, including our Adoption & Education Center and the Veterinary & Foster Care Center. We provide a compassionate, whole-animal approach to care that emphasizes health, socialization, and thoughtful behavior evaluations to help every pet thrive.
