At Auburn Valley Humane Society, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of companion animals and people through animal sheltering, innovative programs, and deep community engagement. Our Journey

Founded in 2013 by a collaborative group of local veterinarians, city officials, and passionate citizens, we were born from a community need for an independent, high-standard local animal shelter. We believe in being a community education center where pets and people come together, fostering a network of regional support that keeps our pets and families connected.

How We Care

We operate as a local, independent 501(c)3 non-profit that relies on the generosity of our supporters, pet licensing fees, and our dedicated team of staff and volunteers to sustain our operations. By merging with the Northwest Spay & Neuter Center in 2021, we have expanded our capacity to provide essential services—ranging from high-quality medical care to community outreach and pet food pantry support—to ensure pets remain healthy and in their homes whenever possible.
