The Humane Society of Wickenburg exists to enrich the lives of animals and enhance the lives of people by joining them in loving relationships. We are dedicated to encouraging responsible pet ownership through public awareness and humane education.
Our journey began in 2004 when a group of volunteers started caring for lost and abandoned animals in local barn stalls. By February 2009, that dream of a dedicated space became a reality with the opening of our 6,707 square-foot facility, which continues to serve Wickenburg and surrounding rural areas today.
We are a proud no-kill animal shelter that relies entirely on the generosity of our community. Because we receive no government funding or tax dollars, we operate through the support of private donors and a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care for the hundreds of animals that pass through our doors each year.
Finding the perfect companion is a journey of partnership, and our team is here to guide you through a thoughtful adoption process. Whether you are looking for a playful dog or a sweet cat, our adoption coordinators work diligently to ensure each animal finds a home where they can truly thrive. We believe that every adoption is the beginning of a beautiful, life-changing friendship.
You can make a difference today by viewing our adoptable dogs and cats online to find your new best friend. If you aren't ready to adopt, consider becoming a Shelter Pet Champion, volunteering your time, or visiting our thrift shop at 74 W. Wickenburg Way.
