The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit is dedicated to protecting our community’s animals and providing compassionate care for those in need. We work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of every pet that comes through our doors.
Since assuming responsibility for Animal Services in 2014, our team has worked alongside citizens, rescue groups, and volunteers to transform our community. Through this collaborative effort, we are incredibly proud to maintain Brevard County as a No-Kill community, providing a second chance to the homeless pets in our care.
Our Animal Care Center serves as a safe haven for stray and adoptable pets, maintained by our dedicated team members and countless volunteers who offer love and socialization. We recently opened the state-of-the-art K9 Junny’s Animal Medical Center in February 2025, allowing our skilled veterinary team to provide exceptional medical care to every animal. Our facility is supported by the community and the Sheriff’s Pet Posse, ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care.
We believe in the power of companionship and the bond between people and pets. Through our Paws & Stripes College program, we help prepare our canine graduates to serve as therapy dogs, or simply to find their perfect fur-ever home as cherished family members. Our local business partners even allow us to proudly offer free adoptions for any pet at our Animal Care Center.
