Perfectly Posh Paws is a dedicated 501(c)3 animal rescue committed to protecting canines and felines in danger of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We strive to improve the lives of animals in our community and beyond by providing compassionate care and finding permanent, loving forever homes.
The Story Behind Our Paws
Founded by Linda Atteo, our organization grew from a lifelong passion for helping animals in need, starting with a stray cat named Mittens in her youth. After years of fostering over 30 dogs and witnessing the challenges faced by local rescues, Linda established Perfectly Posh Paws to make a meaningful, positive difference in the Chicago land area. Today, we stand as a non-profit, all-volunteer group united by the belief that every animal deserves a second chance at a happy life.
Our Care Model
We operate as an all-breed, foster-based rescue, providing each dog and cat with the comforts of a loving home environment while they wait for their forever families. Every animal receives a 30-point safety inspection, high-quality nutrition, and necessary veterinary care, including spaying or neutering, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccinations. This approach ensures that our rescues are healthy, socialized, and ready to become a cherished part of your family.
