New Hope Animal Rescue is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of all animals in our care by providing them with every opportunity to live long, healthy, and happy lives. We strive to create an environment where the bond between animals and humankind is guided by compassion and mutual respect.

Our Story

Established in 2010 in Guelph, our organization was founded by a dedicated group of citizens and local veterinarian Dr. Kate Flanigan. We were built on the vision of an alternative rescue that provides affordable adoption fees and a low-cost spay/neuter program to support our community and its animals.

How We Operate

We are a non-profit organization run entirely by a passionate team of volunteers. While we operate a shelter for cats, we also rely on a vital network of foster homes to care for our animals, including all of our dogs and kittens who need extra nurturing. This foster-based model allows us to provide safe, individualized care and better prepare our rescues for their forever homes.
