At the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter, our mission is to protect, shelter, and serve our community by providing a safe haven for dogs in need. A Legacy of Care

Established in 1939, our organization has spent decades evolving to meet the needs of our local canine population. Since relocating to our current Lancaster facility in 2000, we have continuously improved our operations through dedicated leadership, staff training, and a deep commitment to humane practices.

How We Help

Our shelter serves as a safe transition point for hundreds of dogs each year, providing essential care, medical attention, and support. Every adoptable dog is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and kept current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention to ensure they are ready for their next chapter. By prioritizing community outreach and professional care, we create a stable, welcoming environment for all our residents.
