At the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, our mission is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, and advance their health and welfare. We are dedicated to creating a just and compassionate society where every animal receives the care and respect they deserve.
Founded in 1868, the MSPCA-Angell has been a national leader in animal protection for over a century. Our Nevins Farm location in Methuen has served as a cornerstone of this commitment since 1917, continuously evolving to meet the needs of local animals and the families who love them.
We provide hands-on care for thousands of animals annually through a team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Our facility in Methuen serves as an adoption center for companion animals, equines, and farm animals, offering medical treatment and daily care in a supportive environment. As a private, non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to maintain our lifesaving programs without government funding.
Adopting is an extraordinary opportunity to choose your newest family member, and we believe in the transformative power of the human-animal bond. We use a conversational, nonjudgmental matchmaking approach to help you find an animal whose personality and needs align perfectly with your lifestyle and home environment. We view our adopters as part of our MSPCA family and are here to offer guidance throughout your pet’s lifetime.
