Paws Place Dog Rescue is a dedicated non-profit, no-kill shelter committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and successful adoption of dogs. We believe that adopting one dog at a time gets us closer to a perfect world.
Founded in 1999 in Brunswick County, North Carolina, our organization has spent over two decades providing a safe harbor for at-risk dogs. We operate entirely through the generosity of donors, the hard work of our volunteers, and an unending love for animals that drives everything we do.
At Paws Place, every rescued dog receives a comprehensive veterinary examination upon arrival. Before joining your family, each dog is spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, and started on heartworm and flea prevention. Beyond medical care, our dogs are showered with love and affection, often spending time in foster homes to help them decompress and thrive as they wait for their forever families.
We believe adoption is a partnership, and our seven-step process is designed to ensure the best possible match for both the animal and your household. Our team works closely with you to understand your lifestyle, conduct dog-to-dog introductions, and provide a home visit to ensure a safe, smooth transition. We prioritize the well-being of our dogs, ensuring they find a home that fits their specific temperament and needs.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to visit our facility in Winnabow, North Carolina, Tuesday through Saturday, or browse our available dogs online. We look forward to helping you make a difference in a dog's life today.
