Angel City Pit Bulls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better future for pit bulls by promoting their positive image as loving family companions. We work tirelessly to educate, advocate, and celebrate these amazing dogs through community outreach and dedicated support.
Founded in 2010, our organization began as a small group of pit bull fans doing independent rescue work in Los Angeles. We evolved to address the critical issue of overpopulation and high euthanasia rates in local shelters, growing into a collaborative village that serves as a resource for everything pit bull in the City of Angels.
We are a foster-based only program, meaning our dogs live in loving homes while they wait to find their forever families. This model allows us to provide the structure, socialization, and life-lessons these wonderful dogs need to transition successfully into a permanent home. Because we run entirely on the support of volunteers and donors, every foster home and donation directly enables us to save lives and support our mission.
Choosing to adopt is a life-changing decision, and our team is here to support you in finding the perfect companion. We believe that Los Angeles can be a community where every healthy or treatable pet finds a loving home. By choosing an Angel City pit bull, you are becoming an integral part of our vision to ensure these dogs are celebrated as the loyal, loving family members they truly are.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer your time, or open your home as a foster, there are many ways to make a difference. Please visit our available dogs page to meet our current residents, or check out our volunteer and foster pages to join our village today.
