Pet Haven is a nonprofit, limited-admission, no-kill cat shelter and adoption center dedicated to giving cats a second chance. We are committed to helping cats find loving homes in our community and promoting the health and well-being of all felines, whether they are beloved pets or local ferals.
Founded in 1972 by Helen Wilson, our organization has spent over five decades serving the needs of our local animal community. From our humble beginnings in Canyon County to the purchase of our dedicated shelter building in 1996, our focus has always been on providing a safe, clean, and compassionate environment for cats in need.
As a 501(c)(3) organization that receives no government funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters to maintain our shelter and provide essential medical care. Our dedicated team works to rehabilitate sick or injured cats, and we actively reduce overpopulation through low-cost spay and neuter services. We strive to support the community by offering vaccinations and care advice to keep every cat healthy and happy.
Adopting is one of the most rewarding journeys you can undertake, and we are here to help you find your purr-fect match. Our team takes the time to get to know each cat’s unique personality, history, and compatibility with other pets and children. We believe that thoughtful matching creates a lasting partnership that enriches both your home and the life of a deserving feline friend.
We invite you to visit our shelter in Nampa to meet our current residents and discover the lovable friend waiting just for you. Please check our website to browse our adoptable cats or learn more about our upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Your support makes our mission possible, and we look forward to helping you expand your family.
