Founded in 1983, Action For Animals Humane Society is dedicated to providing care for abused, abandoned, and stray animals in Westmoreland County. We strive to connect every animal with a responsible, loving home while promoting the health benefits of spaying and neutering.

For over four decades, our community-supported, 501c3 non-profit has served as a beacon of hope for thousands of animals. By operating as a no-kill shelter, we ensure that animals in our care remain free from the threat of unwarranted euthanasia, receiving medical care and love for as long as it takes to find their perfect second chance.

From our Tigre Pavilion cageless open-air cattery to Blessed’s Dog Park and our scenic walking paths, we provide a safe, nurturing space for dogs and cats to thrive while they wait for their forever families.
