The Highland Humane Society is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing a peaceful, nurturing temporary home for adoptable cats and dogs. We strive to place every animal in a suitable, loving environment while increasing awareness of humane animal treatment and promoting essential spay/neuter programs.

Our Story

Since 1969, our shelter has served as a compassionate beacon of hope for pets in need throughout Highland County. As a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like you, operating independently without government funding to provide a safe haven for our furry friends.
