North Kansas City Animal Control is dedicated to serving the community of North Kansas City, Missouri, by providing care and a safe environment for animals in need. We are committed to connecting every animal in our care with a loving, permanent home.
Who We Are
As the municipal animal shelter for the City of North Kansas City, we serve as a vital resource for local pets awaiting their second chances. We operate our facility in the city's industrial district, working hard every day to ensure our resident dogs and cats receive the care they deserve while they wait for you.
How We Care
We believe in setting our pets up for success, which is why every animal adopted from our facility is spayed or neutered, comes with a rabies certificate, and has received their first round of vaccinations. To ensure long-term health, all our residents are also tested for Heart Worms or Feline Leukemia. We provide this level of care to ensure your new family member is ready for a healthy start in their new home.

Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is here to help you find the perfect match. We keep our adoption application process straightforward and our fees—$105 for canines and $95 for felines—are kept low to ensure our services remain accessible to the community.
