Plenty of Pit Bulls is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, advocacy, and community building surrounding pit bulls. We work tirelessly to provide second chances to dogs at risk in overcrowded shelters.
We concentrate on pit bulls because common misconceptions often make them less adoptable, leaving them disproportionately vulnerable to abandonment and euthanasia. Our rescue was born in 2012 to change these narratives through education and outreach. We simply love these dogs for their playful, affectionate, and generous hearts.
We are a 100% volunteer-based organization and do not operate a kennel or physical facility. Instead, our rescued dogs live in private foster homes throughout the Gainesville, Florida area, where they receive personalized care and social development. This foster-centric model allows us to truly understand each dog’s personality before they join your family.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our goal is to ensure every placement is the perfect match. Because our dogs live in homes, we can provide detailed insights into how they interact with kids, cats, and various environments. We offer extensive support, training resources, and advice to ensure a smooth transition for both you and your new companion.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or simply learn more, we would love to connect with you. Please explore our adoptable dogs on our website or reach out to us at info@popb.org to see how you can get involved. We invite you to be a part of a community that champions the beautiful bond between dogs and people.
