Street Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) is a Philly-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming overlooked dogs who need us most. We provide a fresh start for every animal, ensuring they receive the love and support they deserve on their journey to a brighter future.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2001, born from the mission of founder Lindsay Condefer to save dogs one at a time. Over two decades later, with the support of a dedicated board and our community, we have grown into a specialized organization committed to making a tangible difference for homeless and abandoned dogs in the Philadelphia area.
Our Approach
We operate out of a cozy, kennel-based facility where our small but mighty team provides hands-on care and one-on-one attention. Because we focus on quality over quantity, our space remains calm and quiet, allowing us to deeply understand the needs of every dog in our care.
