Happy Life Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats and helping them find loving, permanent homes. We believe that a happy life starts with a second chance and a home that is truly right for each animal.
Our Story
Founded in 2016 by the Forster family in Pawling, NY, our rescue began as a small, foster-based effort. Over the last decade, we have grown into a vital resource serving the Hudson Valley and beyond, helping between 600 and 700 animals find their forever families each year.
How We Help
As a limited-intake rescue, we operate at a responsible capacity to ensure every dog and cat in our care receives the individualized attention they deserve. We rely entirely on community donations—with no government grants or outside funding—to provide medical care, daily enrichment, and a safe, nurturing environment while our animals wait for their perfect match.
