Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren (PAAW) is a volunteer-run, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in need. We are committed to being the true alternative in pet placement, ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve on their journey to a forever home.
Our Mission in the Community
We believe in helping both animals and their families. While we support local shelters by taking in animals in need, we also provide a unique lifeline for families who must surrender their pets due to life changes, helping them avoid the shelter system entirely.
Our Foster-Based Approach
As a completely volunteer-run, foster-based rescue, we provide a nurturing home environment for our animals until they find their perfect match. This model allows our dogs and cats to thrive in a home setting, where our dedicated volunteers offer the care and socialization necessary to prepare them for their new life with you.
