Friends for Life Animal Rescue is dedicated to significantly impacting animal overpopulation through our focus on rescue, spay and neuter services, adoptions, and community education. We believe in providing every animal in our care with a safe, loving, and permanent future.
Founded in 1993 as Citizens for Tempe Strays, we have spent decades advocating for homeless animals. In 2018, we moved into our current facility in Gilbert, which was designed specifically to support the health and happiness of the animals in our care while we help them find their perfect families.
As a privately supported, limited-intake, no-kill organization, we rely entirely on the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of the community to sustain our operations. By spaying or neutering all animals upon intake, we aim to address the root causes of animal homelessness and prevent unnecessary suffering in our community.
We are deeply committed to placing the right animal in the right home. To ensure a lasting love connection, our experienced adoption consultants will guide you through our process and discuss your lifestyle, home environment, and needs. This thoughtful approach helps us change the narrative, ensuring that our rescued friends find their true forever families.
Whether you are ready to adopt, volunteer, or support our life-saving work through donations, we invite you to be part of our community. Visit us at our Gilbert adoption center or browse our website to meet the wonderful dogs and cats who are currently waiting for their second chance at a happy life. Together, we can make a difference.
