Sun Cities 4 Paws Rescue is dedicated to promoting the physical and psychological well-being of cats by providing a safe haven while finding them loving, adoptive homes. We strive to be experts in feline welfare, ensuring every cat in our care receives the individual attention and medical support they deserve.
Our Story
Founded in 1996 by a group of women, our organization began with a simple goal to rescue homeless animals in the Sun Cities area. Over the past three decades, we have grown from a small trailer-based operation into a dedicated shelter network that has saved thousands of lives, all while relying on charitable contributions rather than government funding.
How We Care
We operate as a no-kill rescue, utilizing a comprehensive approach that includes our main Peoria shelter, a dedicated Intake and Medical Center, and a robust network of volunteer foster homes. By blending a supportive shelter environment with foster care for kittens and cats with special needs, we provide a stress-free transition for every resident. Our commitment to excellence means we invest in specialized medical suites and a mini-lab to ensure every cat is adoption-ready.
