Our Story
For more than 65 years, we have served as a leading community resource, evolving to meet the needs of our local animals. On January 1, 2021, the Allen County SPCA and H.O.P.E. for Animals united to create a positive, powerful force for animal welfare in northeastern Indiana.

As a 100% donor-funded, no-kill shelter, we operate with a commitment to excellence, never settling for good enough. Our staff utilizes specialized, fear-free techniques—including Dogs Playing for Life and the Jackson Galaxy Cat Pawsitive program—to ensure every animal receives the medical, behavioral, and emotional support they need to thrive. Beyond the shelter, we offer affordable veterinary wellness services and community outreach programs to keep pets healthy and in their homes.
