Troy Animal Rescue Project is dedicated to placing pets in loving, responsible, and committed homes. We are a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization focused on providing a second chance to pets in need across Alabama and surrounding southern states.
Founded in March of 2014, our organization has grown to assist thousands of pets by operating entirely on private donations without state or federal funding. We are a no-kill rescue, stepping in to support pets left homeless, those surrendered by their owners, or animals facing life-threatening situations.
Our approach is built on comprehensive care that treats every animal as an individual, regardless of breed, age, or health status. Animals in our program receive full veterinary care, including spay or neuter services, vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. They are comfortably housed within our network of foster homes or at our four-acre rescue facility while they wait to meet their forever families.
We believe that every pet deserves a stable and loving environment. Our adoption process is designed to create a strong, lasting match, ensuring that our animals are set up for success in their new lives. By choosing to adopt, you become an essential part of a community effort to give these wonderful animals the permanent, caring homes they have been waiting for.
Are you ready to welcome a new companion into your life? We invite you to browse our current list of available pets or consider helping us through fostering or transportation. Every bit of time, love, and support helps us continue our mission of placing pets in the loving homes they deserve.
