Cherokee County Animal Shelter
A Dedicated Mission for Our Community
The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is committed to serving the needs of our local animals and the residents who love them. We strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment for every pet that comes through our doors, ensuring they receive quality care while awaiting their new beginning.
Serving Cherokee County Together
Located in Centre, Alabama, our shelter serves as a vital community resource for the animals of Cherokee County. We believe that by working together, we can improve the lives of local pets and provide them with the support they deserve during their stay with us.
How We Help
Our facility operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a professional and accessible environment for all. We utilize modern tools, such as the Petco Love Lost national database, which employs advanced facial recognition technology to help reunite missing pets with their families as quickly as possible. This commitment to technology and transparency ensures we are doing everything we can to support pet owners and animal welfare in our region.
Connecting Pets and People
Adopting a pet is a meaningful, joyful partnership that changes lives for the better. We are here to help you navigate the process of finding your new best friend, ensuring that every transition is handled with care and professional attention.
