SOS Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At SOS Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted dogs and cats while working tirelessly to find them the loving, permanent homes they deserve. We believe in the power of second chances and are committed to maintaining a no-kill environment for every animal in our care.
Our Journey
Founded in 1981, our organization grew from a shared vision to address the needs of stray and unwanted animals in our community. Through the hard work of dedicated volunteers and the generous support of local individuals and businesses, we successfully opened our doors in 1987 and have since rehabilitated and adopted out over 3,000 pets.
How We Care
Operating as a private 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely exclusively on the kindness of our community to sustain our shelter operations. Our small but passionate team focuses on providing medical care, including spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and testing, to ensure every pet is ready for their new beginning. By focusing our efforts on rescue, rehabilitation, and public education regarding pet overpopulation, we strive to make a lasting impact in Enterprise.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We believe that adoption is a joyful journey, and we are here to help you find the perfect companion to complete your family. Because we want every match to be a success, we utilize a pre-adoption questionnaire to better understand our animals and your lifestyle. Our team is committed to transparency and providing you with a healthy, microchipped, and vetted pet that is ready to thrive in your home.
