Our mission is simple yet powerful: to rescue, rehabilitate, and relocate animals in need to their forever homes. Every day, we strive to transform lives by providing a safe haven for abused, abandoned, and neglected pets throughout Baldwin County.
Established in 1979, the Baldwin Humane Society holds the distinction of being the first animal advocacy group in the county. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, we rely entirely on the kindness of our community and the generosity of our supporters, as we receive no government funding to fuel our vital work.
We are a dedicated no-kill, limited intake rescue organization that prioritizes the welfare of every animal in our care. Our compassionate staff and volunteers work tirelessly to rehabilitate pets, ensuring they are ready to embark on a beautiful new chapter with their future families.
We believe that adoption is a joyful journey, and we are here to help you find the perfect match. Whether you meet our wonderful cats at local retail partners or visit our facility by appointment, our team is committed to guiding you through a smooth, transparent adoption process.
Your journey with us doesn't have to end at adoption; you can make a pawsitive impact by volunteering, donating, or attending our signature events like the Fairhope Witches Ride. We invite you to view our list of adoptable pets online or reach out to our office at 251-928-4585 to see how you can get involved. Together, we can ensure that every furry face finds the friendly home they deserve.
