The Haven
Our Mission
The Haven is dedicated to providing shelter and finding loving, adoptive homes for abused, neglected, and homeless animals. We treat every animal in our care with the love, respect, and medical attention they deserve.
Serving Our Community Since 2000
Since our founding in 2000, we have served our community as a 501(c)3 non-profit sanctuary for animals. We believe that every pet deserves a second chance, and we are committed to caring for them regardless of how long it takes to find their perfect match.
Our Commitment to No-Kill
We are proud to be a no-kill animal shelter, maintaining a save rate of over 90%. We do not euthanize companion cats and dogs that are healthy or have treatable illnesses or behavior issues, ensuring our facility remains a safe harbor for those in need.
How We Work
The Haven works in concert with the City of Fairhope’s municipal animal control division to improve the lives of animals in our region. Through comprehensive education, community awareness programs, and our dedicated volunteer network, we work to reduce pet overpopulation and promote responsible pet ownership.
