Dekalb County Animal Adoption Center
Our Mission
The Dekalb County Animal Adoption Center is dedicated to providing compassionate care and finding loving, forever homes for every animal that walks through our doors. We believe in the power of second chances and strive to ensure that every creature in our care is happy, healthy, and ready for their next chapter.
Our Story
Our journey began with a profound love for animals and a clear, urgent need to create a safe haven for the abandoned and neglected creatures of Fort Payne. What started as a small, local rescue operation has since blossomed into a comprehensive adoption center serving the entire Dekalb County community.
How We Care
We go far beyond basic shelter, offering each resident comprehensive veterinary care, professional behavioral assessments, and engaging enrichment activities. Our team ensures that every animal receives the attention they need to thrive while waiting to meet their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our dedicated staff and volunteers take great care in matching each animal with the right family. By focusing on the unique needs and personality of both the pet and the adopter, we create lasting bonds that enrich lives for years to come.
