Our Mission
The Prattville/Autauga Humane Society is dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment for homeless cats and dogs while working to find them suitable, permanent new homes. We strive to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, standing against neglect and cruelty through active education and perseverance.
Why We Serve
As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we serve the Prattville/Autauga community by providing shelter and care for more than 2,500 animals each year. Our facility acts as a vital bridge for animals brought in by municipal animal control or surrendered by local residents, ensuring every pet receives the support they deserve while waiting for their next chapter.
Our Care Model
While our team may be small in size, we have big hearts for the animals in our care. Our staff works diligently every single day to provide essential needs, including cleaning, feeding, exercise, and socialization, ensuring every pet feels loved while they await their perfect match. We are proud to ensure that all pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
