Randolph County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At the Randolph County Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to caring for and finding loving forever homes for the stray dogs and cats in our community. We strive to improve animal health, foster a greater appreciation for the human-animal bond, and provide education on important animal welfare concerns.
Our History and Purpose
Founded on October 27, 2007, we began as a group of determined individuals who recognized the need for a warm, welcoming, and safe temporary home for abandoned animals. Since our doors first opened, we have been committed to providing these wonderful animals a well-deserved second chance at happiness with a new family.
How We Care for Our Animals
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our community to sustain our operations and provide high-quality care. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every dog and cat receives plenty of love, daily attention, and the comforts they need while awaiting their forever match. By keeping our animals healthy and socialized, we prepare them to be wonderful companions.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We invite you to browse our current residents, which include dogs with featured videos and many cats that are already litter-box trained. Our adoption process is designed to be a supportive experience, where we help you navigate the next steps to ensure a joyful, successful transition for both you and your new pet. We take great pride in making thoughtful connections that improve lives.
Get Involved
We are only as strong as the community that supports us, and we would love for you to join our mission. Whether you are interested in adopting, volunteering your time, or donating to our wish list, please visit us at 104 Animal Shelter Rd in Wedowee or call us at (256) 357-0101 to learn more about our upcoming events and how you can make a difference today.
