The City of Calgary Animal & Bylaw Services
A Dedicated Commitment to Animal Welfare
At the Animal Services Centre, our mission is to foster positive interactions between pets and the public, ensuring that every animal in our care finds a loving place to call home. We are dedicated to promoting the welfare and responsible ownership of animals while maintaining the highest standards of safety and health for our community.
Supporting Our Community
Our work is rooted in a deep commitment to Calgarians and their animal companions. By focusing on education, enforcement of the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw, and community outreach, we address the needs of pets and neighbors alike, creating a safer, more harmonious environment for everyone.
Our Care Model
The Animal Services Centre provides comprehensive shelter services for lost and adoptable pets within Calgary. Our professional team offers essential medical care, including vaccinations and spay/neuter services, to ensure every animal is prepared for its new life. We prioritize a safe, supportive environment while helping lost pets reunite with their families or transition into their new forever homes.
A Joyful Partnership
We believe in the power of thoughtful adoptions to change lives for both pets and their new families. By providing an adoption kit, pet food, and a six-month licence, we ensure a smooth start for your new best friend. Whether you are seeking a senior companion or a hidden gem, we are here to support you in finding the perfect match.
